Happy Halloween

My Halloween party for the office!
Bloody Temple: Twist on a shirley temple.  We poured 8 glasses of sprite, placed a syringe full of grenadine in each cup and topped off with plastic eyeballs and spiders from Party City.
Lethal Injections: (aka jello shot syringes) Mix packet of jello with 1 cup boiling water, stir for about 2 minutes, add 1 cup cold vodka and stir, fill the syringes then chill in the fridge overnight.
Black Widow Shooters: We got test tube glasses and I painted the cardboard stand black.  The shot - 1 part vodka, 1 part cranberry juice, drop of black food coloring.

Blood Smear Lollys: Lay out wax paper, boil 2 cups sugar, 1/4 cup water and 4 tbsp corn starch.  Once the mixture is smooth take off the heat and dunk in an ice bath for 30 seconds.  Pour spoonfuls of the mixture on the wax paper creating circles, while it's drying push a lolly stir (or stir stick like me) into each circle.  Put a drop of red food coloring on each lolly.  Use a stick to swirl the "blood".
Vampire Bite Cakes: This is Duncan Hines red velvet cake mix w/ vanilla icing.  Once iced, I used a toothpick to poke two holes and dropped red food coloring in each hole.
It wouldn't be a Courtney event without some trophies & gold spray paint magic!
Scariest: Toy spider (Michael's)
Funniest: Smiling Frankenstein figurine (Michael's)
Best Overall: Skull (found in my craft room)
Halloween decor all from Party City
The pink skeleton + zombie flamingo were the must haves!
I was super lame and went as a cheerleader.   I forgot how comfortable those outfits are!
Levi helped make the event happen and I promise he was happy in the banana split outfit
